I used to think Europeanbahn developers were pretty good on the whole. I have two of their routes: East Coast Express, and London South Coast. Both are superb. But I just bought their West Coast mainline, and I really don't like it!
It's jerky, suffers many long tile loading pauses, but worst of all there's none of the usual route sounds that you get even in the freeware stuff. There's no trackbed sounds, no bridge sounds (under them, or over), nothing!
I loaded the route up in RE just to check it wasn't something wrong with my setup, and sure enough there's no sound definition objects anywhere.
I've read a lot of feedback for this route online before bying it, and thought I knew it's shortcomings, but still decided to buy it. But nowhere did I see anybody complain about this missing sound thing.
Has anybody ever managed to get a refund from EB at all - is it worth me trying?
